KORN Guitarist Reveals Favorite Dining Spots
October 1, 2007KORN guitarist James "Munky" Shaffer patented a seven-string guitar style that helped lead his band to mainstream success and multi-platinum status. In 2006 he launched his own record label, Emotional Syphon Recordings. When he's not touring the world or scouting new talent, Munky can be found in several popular eateries in Los Angeles and across the country. The complete list, including Munky's comments about each one, can be found at Citysearch.
KORN recently asked fans to help pick the next single from the band's untitled eighth studio effort. Singer Jonathan Davis told The Pulse of Radio that "Hold On" is an especially personal track for him and was one of several inspired by the blood infection that nearly killed him last year. "'Hold On''s another one about the blood thing," he said. "It was like a song of empowerment. It's for people out there dealing with any kind of disease or f***ed-up relationship or anything. It's about just hanging in there. I wanted to write a song that people could listen to it and it would give 'em hope."
KORN's latest album arrived on July 31 and debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard album chart.
KORN is currently touring North America tour with HELLYEAH, FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH and DROID.
